Jennifer Torres

Jennifer Torres was born in Los Angeles, California but raised in Aurora, Colorado. When she joined Frank Azar & Associates in August 2015, it was apparent she was a gifted attorney. Ms. Torres decided in her sophomore year of high school that she would be an attorney. She saw the enormous effect that the law can have on a society and how it perpetuated through different political administrations. It caused her to be a strong believer that the law shaped society and her work as an attorney could contribute to that social change and improvement.

She is equipped with a valuable skill set in being a bilingual trial lawyer. Ms. Torres is an early graduate of high school, college and law school. A pattern characteristic achievement to define the amount of hard effort she puts into her workload. She is passionate about representing the Hispanic community, as she was an active board member of the Latino Law Students Association at the University of Denver during law school.

Jennifer attend the University of Colorado-Denver where she earned a Regents Scholarship and Dean’s List Scholarship. Ms. Torres received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Economics with a minor in Chinese. While attending, Ms. Torres took full advantage of an offer to study abroad and spent a semester abroad as part of a Mandarin immersion program in Beijing, China.

In deciding how to best use her platform and experiences to help people, Ms. Torres decided to attend the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Ms. Torres was the recipient of the Robert B. Yegge scholarship and earned her J.D. in 2015. She worked her way through law school at a small criminal defense and immigration firm that served the Hispanic community. Ms. Torres also participated in the University of Denver’s Sports and Entertainment Law Review.

Jennifer is actively involved in the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Women’s Bar Association, and the Rhone Bracket Inn of Court. In realizing the importance of work and life balance, she enjoys spending time with her German Shephard Rocky and her family. She also loves staying active with martial arts, watching films and reading a good novel.
