Heather Jackson is a Personal Injury Associate with Franklin D. Azar & Associates. Before joining the firm, she worked for two other Personal Injury firms in Colorado. Before that, Heather spent nearly five years working for an insurance company as a claims adjuster. She has also served as a law clerk at a Plaintiff’s Employment Law firm, where she worked on a class action lawsuit involving claims of sex discrimination.
Heather earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Organizational Management from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in 2005. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she also earned a Certificate in Workplace Law.
Heather has received acknowledgments in numerous scholarly legal articles on Workplace Law issues, for extensive research performed while she was Research Assistant to University of Denver Sturm College of Law Professors Rachel Arnow-Richman and Nantiya Ruan.
Heather filed her first lawsuit as a Civil Litigation Clinic Student Attorney at DU in a wage and hour case. As a law student, she was nominated for a Student Leadership Award and earned the Inclusive Excellence Leadership Series Certificate. She competed in numerous moot court competitions throughout her time in law school and served as Moot Court Board President during her final year.
Heather is a current member of and has served as Student Liaison and Membership Committee Contributor for the Rhone Brackett Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Bar Association, and El Paso County Bar Association.
