“I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution.” Thomas Jefferson

Rick is a skilled trial attorney with more than 30 years of experience representing injured people. Rick works hard to hold corporations, insurance companies, and reckless drivers accountable for catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, including pedestrian, auto, tractor-trailer trucks, and motorcycle crashes. He has also represented people tragically injured or killed in plane crashes and railroad crossings, and civil rights cases for women sexually assaulted by prison guards.

Over the span of his career, Rick has tirelessly fought for justice for his clients. His success is the result of preparation, hard work, and execution. His goal is not only to obtain maximum compensation for his clients, but also to increase safety and make the world a safer place one case at a time.

Rick was born and raised in Colorado, graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1991. Rick is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Colorado, including the U.S. District Court of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He enjoys coaching student mock trial teams.

As a Colorado native, Rick loves the mountains, hiking, fly fishing, golfing, and tending his slow-cook barrel smoker for bar-b-que on weekends. He and his beloved wife of nearly 40 years have four children with ten precious grandkids living in Colorado, Indiana, and Hawaii.
