Nathan J. Axvig practices in the area of civil, class action and employment litigation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1996, where he served as Vice-President of the student body and was a member of the College Council. Mr. Axvig earned his law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1999. Mr. Axvig is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association. Mr. Axvig has been appointed Class Counsel in all of the following cases: Michelle Braun, Dolores Hummel, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. for which the firm secured a $187 million verdict, the case is presently on appeal; and, Nancy Braun, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., for which the firm secured a liability verdict that resulted in a $54 million settlement.
Mr. Axvig was also involved as a member of the lead settlement counsel for the plaintiffs in the following class action cases as Armijo, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., certified as a class action and pending in Rio Arriba District Court, State of New Mexico; Hale, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., certified as a class action and pending in Jackson County, State of Missouri; Adcox, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., certified as a collective action and pending in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Galveston Division; Ouellette, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Florida; Brown, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Illinois; Nagy, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Kentucky; Montgomery, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Mississippi; Carter, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of South Carolina; Bailey, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Indiana; Mussmann, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Iowa; and, Pickett, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., pending in the State of Tennessee.
