Jane (Janie) G. Rowe was born in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1959 and grew up in the oil fields of West Texas. Janie graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 with a degree in journalism. While at the University of Oklahoma, she was a member of student congress, a member of the OU marching band, vice president of her sorority and the recipient the Letizer Award and Big Women on Campus Award. She attended law school at the University of Oklahoma and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1985. While in law school, she was a recipient of Phi Delta Phi and the American Jurisprudence Award in Conflicts of Law.
In 1991, Janie followed her husband to New Mexico and became admitted to the New Mexico Bar Association. Janie is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma; the U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Janie has served as a Law Clerk for United States District Judge Robin Cauthron.
Despite a full time work schedule, Janie has never hesitated to volunteer in the community. Currently, Janie is a board member for the New Mexico Trails Girl Scout Council and a Board member for Saranam Homeless Program.
Janie’s areas of practice include Oil and Gas Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Environmental Litigation, Class Action Litigation, and Personal Injury Litigation. In the last ten years, Janie has been involved with some of the nation’s largest class actions, that not only resulted in large verdicts or settlement amounts, but more importantly changed industry practices across the country.
